Max2dts for Max 6

I rebuilt the MAX exporter with the MAX 6 SDK, and it built fine, but when I try to export anything using it MAX crashes (unhandled exception). I'm not using multires. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Has anyone gotten the exporter to work with Max 6? If so, could I get yours?

Discreet has recoded the entire Max api - totally. Afaik there is absolutely no backward compatibility.

So I think you need to do way way more than just recompile any exporter - read recode a large chunk.

How do you know this? Can you point me to the info? I find it difficult to believe that they really completely changed the SDK for a few reasons:

1. The max2dts plugin built without any errors or warnings with the new Max SDK 6.
2. This link from discreet outlining the changes to the SDkK mostly only shows additions to the SDK sparks.discreet.com/knowledgebase/techdocs/sdk_change_update.htm
3. I have seen on various plugin sites that people are claiming that they simply took older versions of plugins and recompiled it for Max 6 (Here in one such site: www.maxplugins.de/max6.php - look at "Particle Paint v1.1" and "MaxOpenEXR v0.9" among others )

If you could give me a link with more info about how the SDK changed I would appreciate it.

I dont have any pointers I cna give you - the info is from my 3d modeller who has used max for 10+ years and who follows the scene in detail.

Do I need to compile to obtain the .dle file, which allows exporting to torque .dts files?
I could not find the .dle file specified in the documentation. Also when I tried to compile the project files in visual studio it returned several errors.

Could someone help me get hold of the the plug-in for 3d studio max please.
