Greetings everyone...
there are litereally millions of textures out there that are free, shareware, cheep, costly, or homemade... After collecting them, it becomes dificult to manage them. They must have unique names to be used in some games. Some have names that are unique to their collection, others are arbiutrary.
Wouldnt it be nice if a bunch of people (artists, analysts, programmers, ect) got togther and defined a catalog sturcture to help organize the textures out there?
I know this isnt the sort of thing that makes money... but it would help in the effort.

www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=free+textures&btnG=Google+Search
Some you will find are raw and won't tile unless worked on, but some are game ready.
