www.penny-arcade.com/phantom.php3 its about the phantom game thing. alot of people say ita a hoax but that say its not. Why did I post this here? Well it says this:
"Rob really talked up the developer angle at this point. He said that Infinium was willing to accept all sorts of independent games, the SDK would be provided for free, and that these indie companies wouldn't need to go through a publisher. That does greatly reduce the cost for a small developer and it's a great way to get your game into people's homes. Profits from these games would be split 40/60 towards Infinium, but the price point for these indie games was not mentioned."
Who know if this is real to learn more read it. This could help alot of people here with good 3D game to make some money.

Wow. I don't understand this at all.

From Infinium Lab's latest 10QSB (quarterly report, August 2005):Quote:We have incurred recurring losses from operations since inception. Our loss from operations for the year ended December 31, 2004 was $33,131,286, and our loss from operations for the six-months ended June 30, 2005 was $20,275,775. At June 30, 2005, we had a working capital deficit of $8,781,352 and an accumulated deficit of $56,276,138. In their report on our audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2004, our independent auditors expressed substantial doubt about our ability to continue as a going concern.
Our activities to date have been funded by equity and debt investments, $2,603,000 of the debt is in default of which $1,400,000 is collateralized by the Companys assets. We do not have sufficient cash to continue operations for the next 12 months and are in immediate need of additional capital to fund our plan of operation. We presently have no commitments for additional financing and may not be able to obtain such financing. If we are unable to obtain additional financing as and when needed, we will need to scale back and/or reprioritize our planned operations and may be forced to cease operations completely.
...and some commentary from Dubious Quality:
Quote:An accumulated debt of fifty-six million dollars. Twenty million dollars lost in the last six months. Over two and a half million dollars of debt in default. In twenty-one months, the stock (created by a merger with an existing company on the Exchange so that Infinium's finances wouldn't be scrutinized as they would be with an IPO) has gone from $2.15 to five cents.
Wow. I don't understand this at all.

LOL There's nothing left to talk about when it comes to the Phantom. The name says it all. And with the Xbox 360 and PS3 right around the corner, they are going to have to start from scratch with their total design if they still have some kind of hope. The Phantoms window closed and locked with curtains drawn a long time ago.-Ajari-

Man, that's funny... The investors got taken and they deserved every bit of it. Maybe people will learn to think before they invest / buy / vote....

Working, stylish hardware, a seemingly working backend.
C'est la vie.

Which is a shame, they had quite a convincing show at E3 2 years ago.Working, stylish hardware, a seemingly working backend.

At least people (and myself most importantly) got to play Lore at E3 because of em.

Say what you will about the company and their ability to deliver a product or whatnot, but the Phantom will be missed.

Indeed Ed its quite a shame, they were one of the few console makers that took indies seriously and were open and willing to let us have our products on their system (plus since it was Windows based it was super easy for us to port the games to).Say what you will about the company and their ability to deliver a product or whatnot, but the Phantom will be missed.

Yeah. The phantom is a really cool idea. Plus the creators say it's not a console, but eh..its still trying to be. I don't know. It's like Xbox Live Arcade. Almost no one knows about it but the developers.

@Charlie - I was waiting for someone to notice GG and our studios were not mentioned in the SEC document (like the bigger studios).
