Yet Another Engine Comparison question..

Hey all,
I've read people talking about cipher(out of the question as I have multiplayer requirements that can't be met with this engine w/out a major overhaul) and others as well, but havent found one yet on 3d gamestudio's A6 engine...
From what I can tell so far, 3d gamestudio has an edge over torque as far as its rendering engine and shaders(post V6.2), but it is lacking in multiplayer ability compared to torque.
The only version that seems to come close to the networking abilities torque has is A6's 900.00 version of the engine.
So my question is this: Has anyone worked with 3d gamestudio that can intelligently compare the two engines? anyone seen the difference in its networking abilities between the 900.00 version and torques multiplayer capabilities?
For me, its down to these two engines..i'm trying not to spend too much time on deciding, but I want to make the proper choice. Both are quality engines, no doubt..
Thank you in advance for replying!

But I would say, if your going to make a indoor game with just small or no outdoor scenes, you should probably use A6. But Outdoor scenes are alot better with Torque. And they are a lot easier to create.
Other big points are the two mentioned by Ben. You don't get the source and as long as you don't buy the professional version you have hard restrictions.
Another point is the community. Here you get alot of help. When I was a user of A5, nearly every post on the forum ended up with a flamewar. That wasn't the point why I changed. But it is point you should take into account when chosing the engine.

Other that that, Game Studio's FAQ has a break down of engine features that is pretty good. Marco's comments I find accurate although I found the A6 community to be faily nice (I was mostly a lurker on the boards though)

I looked closely at A6 Engine so maybe I can help. The question I asked myself is "what do I want to do?" and then "what can I do?" The best engine in the world is as good as notepad if you can't make it work. An example is that if you are not a C++ programmer Torque might not be a good fit. If you want something very flexable then Torque might be the better fit.Other that that, Game Studio's FAQ has a break down of engine features that is pretty good. It looks like you don't get source with it, and the ridiculous restrictions (like on number of physics objects or resolution) are... odd, to me.
But I'm not a user of A6, so I could be missing out on things. :)
