Hi folks. Anyone having problems installing their own music?

Hey,

I bought Marble Blast Gold yesterday. All working fine, no problems. Great game by the way folks!
I read in the readme file (root directory of the game folder) that you can play your own audio files during the game by stickin' them in the 'marble blast/marble' folder. (OGG format)

Unfortunately, after placing the Ogg files in there, I just get silence during game play instead of any music. Can anyone help? Or has anyone got theirs to work?

Thanks.

..I'm trying to play Stayin' Alive by the Bee Gees. lol

Glyn,

The files have to go in the data/sound folder. Make sure you back up your originals before you put new ones in the folder. I don't know why, but I lost my originals, so make sure you back them up. Otherwise, it should work fine. When you restart your game the new music should play in rotation.

Also, one of the ogg files is named shell.ogg. This file is used as the theme song for the MB Intro screens. You can replace this too, but rename the ogg you replace it with to shell.ogg(you don't have to rename the others).

Good Luck! And welcome to the forum.

BTW, Stayin' Alive is appropriate because that's how you will feel on some of those Gold Levels. Have fun!

Usually you don't convert Mp3 to oog because of the big loss in quality. Both are compressed formats. Maybe somebody knows of a program that'll do the job though.
