Newbie, TorqueDemo.exe not found

Of all the guys here I probably will need the most help. I'm an artist not a programmer and so currently i think I lack a lot of the necessary tools to run the game. anyways... heretest application
it says that I can run the test application from the command line. Is it safe for me to assume that there should an executable named torquedemo.exe in the example directory? Because currently I don't see one.

HELP!

Okay so it looks like I'll need to compile. Oh boy :). Can I use one of the files in Geek Stuff to do this?
