Is there a way to just evaluate Torque without paying for it?

I am already heavy into programming with the Q game engine (www.qubesoft.com), but I am interested in learning about Torque in case I would like to switch. The main thing I'd like to see is Torque's API, and see how good its documentation is as well as some example code. I can't find any of these things on the website, so it makes me guess that I would have to buy the SDK in order to get it.
Now, I am totally happy to see that the cost of Torque is really affordable to indie developers. But I can't really see myself paying $100 just to evaluate the API and the documentation. I am wondering if there is any way to access these things from GG without paying the fee to actually use Torque itself. If not, than I will probably continue to use Q, and unfortunately never get to see all the wonderful things I could have done with Torque :(

It isn't so much an API as a framework you develop within.

You can also view a limited subset of the docs.www.garagegames.com/docs/torque/
