Torque 3d Editor and a few other questions

by Benjamin Stanley · in Torque 3D Beginner · 12/26/2012 (3:49 pm) · 1 replies

Hey all!

I am currently working with 3ds max and I need to Import my assets into Torque 3D for testing and proper sizing. I am updating from version 1.2 to 2.0. So this is a big leap for me in versions.

1. I cannot seem to access the editor from the toolbox/Project Manager. Where do I find the Torque 2.0 editor executable is at?

2. Does the Torque script IDE (Torsion) still work with Torque 3D? Are there any alternatives to Torsion? Preferably Open source.

Thank you for your time -

Ben

To access the world editor, hit F11 in the main menu to create a new mission, or hit it while in an existing mission to edit it. The GUI editor is on F10. Also, don't be alarmed by the numbers - you really haven't jumped that far in terms of versions. The 2.0 release was mostly bugfixes. You can see the changelog here.

As far as an alternative to Torsion... Notepad++ works for me.
