Alternative File Formats for Torque

Besides MAX and MS3D is there any other native support for Torque coming? Like Direct X, MDL, 3DS etc.

I know its possible to convert from others, but native support is always best.

Torque doesn't natively support MAX and MS3D files - you can't load those from within the engine. What torque uses is a format called dts for the shapes.. There's exporters for various programs, MAX, and MS3D being two of them.

And there are converters for a number of other progrms, such as gameSpace, Lightwave and Hash in varying states of completion.

You can use Ultimate Unwrap3D to convert many formats to dts. The author is just releasing that plugin. It is great. John
