In-Game Advertising

by Hamdy Hamoudi · in Torque Game Engine · 08/19/2001 (11:20 pm) · 1 replies

Let's say you made some kind of game that you give away for free, it eventually builds up lots of players and you decide to have advertisements in the game. How would the agreement with the companies that advertise work.
The reason I'm asking all those EULA questions is because this is the phase were we decide on a game model and the potential of making money and I'm just exploring the possibilities.

Thanks

If you make money, then we make money. However, do not count in in-game advertising as a source of revenue. GG will not be pursuing this revenue stream. If you wish to go out to potential advertisers and secure a contract to put advertising in your game, that is OK. GG must still get a cut, but since you did so much work getting the revenue stream to work, the percentage GG takes will be much smaller than 50%.

If you are legitimate, and think you can pull this off, GG would love to talk to you. Send email describing your idea, and we can work it out.
