FxLight and the new mounting capability

Hi all!
I noticed the new overhaul of fxLight in HEAD, which caused some grey hairs during my merge. Anyway, I like the new separation between datablock and mission definition.
Now that every FXLight has a datablock, does anyone have experience with mounting fxLights on shapes? Do you have to use the console functions, or can one just put an fxLight into a vehicle datablock definition like you do now with particle emitters?
