3D Tubes exported from Blender to Torque 3d

I have a tube I have added as a primitive, in Blender. I apply a material, export as collada format, load in torque 3d, apply a default material. The default texture material will not wrap around the object, the texture appears to land on every edge of the tube, on the sides too and sometimes as only a dark brown shade?
When I make a cube in blender, apply a material, export as collada, open in Torque 3d, apply a texture as normal. it is visible
Blender is 2.59 r3
Torque is 1.1 Pro
Can anyone please share a solution?
Thanks
Darrell
