3D Glasses

Just for kicks, has anyone tried 3D Glasses (any brand) with Mutant Storm?

I just wonder if the effect would be really neat or really freaky.

I have the ED-Glasses (wireless) from edimensional and it's a great experience. Really cool

I have a series of questions for you, if you don't mind:

Do the wireless batteries last long? Which model do you recommend after using the wireless for awhile? Can you describe what it's like with Mutant Storm and Space Tripper? Is there a lot of depth and/or do objects come out the screen? Does it help or hurt gameplay? Is there a major performance hit? Does it cause headaches or ill effects for long periods of play?

Thanks. =)

There is 2 little battery (like those in a watch). If you don't forget to close the glasses, it's good for around a year, maybe more. I didn't tryed those titles but it will be like all the other games I've tryed : Awesome !

If you've seen a 3D film at the theater, this is exactly like this. For example, if in a FPS, there is a projectile coming at you, you will try to avoid it by moving your head :)

For the gameplay :) hmmm, at first, it will hurt it because you will be too much excited to see how bbeautyfull your games will become so you will be distracted by the scenery, hehe. After, it can help you, depend on the game, but as it is 3D (really depth in some case), it can help you calculate the distance, etc ...

If your video cards is not too old, there is no performance hit has you configure your game at 800 X 600 (because it's displaying 2 times). Seems not good to set your game at 800X600, but beleive me, the 3D effect is much better then at 1024X768 with no 3D.

I've played sometimes 6-8 hours, maybe 10 sometimes :) without stopping using the glasses without any problem. It is not recommanded to do this, but my eyes are still at 120% if I refers to my last test :)

They're is also a program to look your VCD, in 3D ! Really awesome too. Any vcd, avi, etc ... will work with it. The program was free but I can't remember the name. Just do a search on the net for 3D glasses and you'll find a lot of programs. That's how I find it.

The other great things is that you can convert your own photos, in 3D. That s cool. Peronnaly, I like to use the glasses to make my 3D models in my 3D progs :)

Any way you'll use them, you won't regret if you buy them. It's a completly different, fun and beautyfull world to see.

Wow, they sound fun and incredible. I think I'll have to grab a pair. Can you try it with Mutant Storm and see what kind of effect it has? I wonder if it's really a trip. =)

I think my head would explode if I used these. I know a guy whose job was to wear glasses like this all day, building 3d terrain maps.

he's weird as all fuck now.

just sayin.

Well, I read it's pretty good for single player games, makes them very immersive. I'm curious what it does for Mutant Storm and Space Tripper. I don't know if it would be good for multiplayer games because it would take quite a bit to get used to the new depth.
