Music and sound effects

I'm sorry if this was already asked but I've been searching for hours to no avail.

I'm making a game with iTorque2D that will have background music and sound effects. Now, I've read the documentation about streaming an mp3 using startiPhoneAudioStream. I understand this can only play one sound though, and I bet it's too slow for sound effects anyway. I cannot find an explicit example of simply playing a WAV file. The documentation is incomplete. I was wondering if someone could point me to an example. Also, how much overlap is there between iTorque2D and Torque2D? Is it as simple as the audio examples for Torque2D will also work on iPhone?
