Physique-->Skin problems

I am using Max 5.1. I rig my model with physique and then apply the physique->skin plugin. The physique modifier is turned into skin in the stack, but the bones are no longer attached to the model. Any idea what is causing this? Its a serious problem for me.

Solution: I was using max 4.0 to physique my model, then moving it to max 5.1 and using the physique->skin modifier. This will not work. If you want the plugin to work correctly, use 5.1 to physique, and 5.1 phys->skin.
