Makeing a basic sphere

Folks,
Just playing with 3DS Max, made a simple spehere added a bogus bounds (followed the dts tut by Joe M.),
when I go to export I get a "no details" error. What gives?
could someone give me a quick step-2-step for creating a basic object such as a sphere in max and get it into TGE?
Keep in mind, I am not a modeler ;) just a chap playing with Max learning the ropes ..

I have the spehere and the bounding box (hope it is right), but I am clueless here.
Just looking for some basic steps for a complete novice/dolt with 3D Max.

The problem is far before that ;)I have the spehere and the bounding box (hope it is right), but I am clueless here.

Ron, you and I are at the same place in our exporting learning curve. After you make the bounds box, select the sphere, then click the renumber selection button in the exporter rollout, then click embedd shape and export whole shape.

Will that create the detail required thingy as well???

Look in the scematic view !
sometimes if you use embed shape the detail dummys are
placed under start01 and will not export !
then you get the No details error !
so you must place the details under base01 then you can export
with no problem !
when you use a mesh called like sphere145 and use embed shape the detail dummy is placed on the right place at once!

1. Make sphere and name it "sphere128"
2. Make a box and name it "bounds"
3. Make a dummy and name it "shape01"
4. Make a dummy and name it "start01"
5. Make a dummy and name it "detail128"
Now for the linking:
6. Link "start01" and "detail128" to "shape01"
7. Link "sphere128" to "start01"
This will give you an setup like this:
shape01
...detail128
...start01
......sphere128
bounds
One problem with using the embed and renumber shortcuts is that they are being made very very very small.
Infact so small that you can hardly see them on screen.
I always do it the manual way.

Okay Ron this is done from memory but it should work.1. Make sphere and name it "sphere128"
2. Make a box and name it "bounds"
3. Make a dummy and name it "shape01"
4. Make a dummy and name it "start01"
5. Make a dummy and name it "detail128"
Now for the linking:
6. Link "start01" and "detail128" to "shape01"
7. Link "sphere128" to "start01"

......sphere128

Thanxs again for all of the help! I tried everyone's suggestions above.. and in the end it was a "loose nut behind the keyboard" or as we used to say in the Navy a "id10t" error

Yah know chap's I appreciate all the help :) the problem I am having is a battle with stupidity here... that being said, a chap in IRC finally got me working, ended up being that the Sphere was 100% correct... Here's the kicker, the damned imaged I was using was not a pow-of-2 *bada bing, bada bang, bada boom*Thanxs again for all of the help! Torque Owner Badguy
:)
to get an object into torque needs a few things.
have you setup the base heirachy?
if you look around the forums you can see some nice screenies of what the heirachy should look like.
and at the same time learn how to setup LOD detail levels.
this is prolly cause you never linked the detail node or never used an appropriate name on it.
