Where's a good forum for retro remakes?

Is there a website / forum dedicated to discussing games like these - retro arcade with new looks and features? I notice some of the retro sites are strictly against new interfaces and looks. Just wondering if there is a place where people discuss the latest in this type of genre (retro classic style in with new technology).
I didn't want to ask questions here much because I know this is a Mutant Storm specific forum.
Thanks. =)

This review of Star Soldier for Gamecube sums up so well what I've been thinking lately:
"I'm convinced that games I like, those with 'oldschool' values, simply won't sell, and I think that's a shame. Many people lament the passing of 2D games and, more importantly, 2D gaming values. Simple to learn, hard to master - that's the way it should be, and modern games have that reversed. You should buy Star Soldier, not only because it's cheap, but because it's excellent, and Hudson deserves your money. No caveats, it's good, go get it."

I'm starting to look at the older consoles because they seem to have more of the arcadish style games.
I've been thinking of grabbing a Playstation 1. I've had my eye on this Strike series of games - like Nuclear Strike and Soviet Strike. Have you ever played those?
I've made a list of the P.C. games I've liked so far:

I cant think of the names of all the games, but there are some seriously fine shooters on it.

The llamasoft.co.uk forums seem to be pretty decent for retro games... minteresque games, at the very least.

Ive been playing the remake of Star Soldier on the Gamecube (highly recommended if you like vertical shooters) quite a bit lately and I have to admit it kinda got me thinking about all the old games I used to play and would love to play again with this kind of makeover.
