Hello!

I have a question ...
Is it possible to use the Torque 2D for the genre Hidden Object?
Is there a Genre Kits for the Hidden Object?
What tools will need to purchase?
How much will it cost?

Thanks in advance!

@epishev - I have seen lots of hidden object games made with Torque 2D, so it is very doable. I don't think there is an official genre kit available. You really should only need Torque 2D, but I highly recommend you also pick up Torsion. Torsion is a visual IDE that allows you to write and debug TorqueScript in a clean and intuitive environment. It is an additional $39.95.

Regarding kits, there was one in the works: Hidden Object kit. However, the status is uncertain at the moment.

As I understood, currently there is no possibility to buy Hidden Object Kit.
You do not know when the site will be available http://www.hirarcky.com/?

Thanks in advance.

@epishev - I'm afraid I don't know. I saw the site was down but I do not speak to the author directly.

I'm working on my 6th Hidden Object Game, I worked in "Fashion Assistant", "The Conjurer", "Murder, She Wrote", "The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes" and "Real Detectives". The team I'm in also made "CSI: NY" (published by Ubisoft!) and Sherlock Holmes.

We used our own game library but after trying Torque for a few weeks and seeing the code I'm confident it would be a breeze to use it. After working 2 years in our engine and ho engine and scripting tools I can say I would seriously rather using Torque although it's not possible right now.

I'm certainly not an expert in Torque but if you need consulting or are hiring for HO development please PM o email me.
