T3D's $99 Price Tag Questions

Hello everyone! First off, let me say again that I am super happy that GG is back!!! I love GG, and I know it is going to do well for now on.
Now let me get to my question. I see that Torque 3D is $99 for a limited time with full source. I really want to jump on this deal because I truly didn't have $1,000 to buy the T3D source, but I really wanted the source in case I had to add something that wasn't there. So my question is this. If I buy Torque 3D for $99, and it is currently in beta 3, will I get the 1.1 update for free? Also, what happens when new versions of T3D comes out? Will there be upgrade pricing?
Thanks

Even without selling a single game the iTGB demos I made have gotten me real jobs, (I'm a contractor).
Overall I am happy to have GG back, I complained but to put it in perspective I still coughed up my $99 for T3D. I'd like to get a T3D web game on one of the portals.

Best of luck to the new GarageGames!

It's refreshing to see a CEO entering forums and communicating with its members. As a long time member that's not something I've seen since the early days. I missed that during the IAC ownership which (incl. all the fanboys who bullied the IAC sceptics) made me leave, ultimately.Best of luck to the new GarageGames!

[..unless I just ignore it from being accustomed to it. That is readily up for debate. If I recognize it, I attempt to squash it. Oh how I dislike blind-rage fanboi'ism..especially when they have no clue what they're debating.]
- Nice to see your name again btw.

Stefan, the fanboy(boi) mentality is mostly gone.[..unless I just ignore it from being accustomed to it. That is readily up for debate. If I recognize it, I attempt to squash it. Oh how I dislike blind-rage fanboi'ism..especially when they have no clue what they're debating.]

It says that the $99 price is a "limited time offer." Could we get someone to elaborate on that, please?

"You, and anyone who owns any version of T3D will get the upgrade to 1.1 final for free. Future patches and bug fixes will be free. Like most software, *major* version updates to T3d will probably cost you, but nothing has been decided yet. Let's just say that major means major - there won't be any games like "let's slap a coat of paint on it and call it version 2."
I bought T3D a couple days ago, first GG purchase I've made in a long, long time. I've been waiting a lot longer than that to see statements like the above made. Too bad it took everything the company has been through over the last few years to get to this point, but I'm really glad you made it.
I know there have to be other 'behind the scenes' plans in the works for the company, but for the Indie developer this is the kind of talk they want to hear. Sounds like somebody that knows business. Stick with that ideal, get past the bad press from the last few years, and you'll grow the company and make money.
I'm looking forward to playing with Torque again...

"We rehired a lot of the employees, dropped some products, loosened up the EULA, resurrected the GarageGames name, streamlined the product offerings, and we slashed all prices to $99. Not to $100, but to $99 - just because that's $1 less than any Torque engine has ever cost.""You, and anyone who owns any version of T3D will get the upgrade to 1.1 final for free. What you DO need is a lesson in 'charity' for it's obvious you're being envious of this company's generosity. Instead, you better look forward to reading Matthew 20 and The Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard...
@Erik,
Mr. Graham, allow me to tell you a little story here...
I was born near Mexico City. Back then and for the most part of my childhood, it wasn't easy having access to one of my earliest passions: playing videogames. It's been some 15+ years since I began dreaming of giving birth to a game developing industry in Mexico which is virtually non-existent.
I just want to say THANKS for giving some of us the opportunity to keep dreaming. You and your company just happen to, not just having found a POTENTIAL client but also got yourselves a LOYAL one. I'm in for anything GG has planned as I'll be buying T3D in the coming weeks.
God bless.
