Where to start?

So I've read through a bunch of the old threads and downloaded Patches 18 and 19. Is that all I need to add the new Terrain Manager? With the combination of dead links and multiple conversations in the monster thread, it seems to have been lost on how to apply this patch.
Starting from HEAD as of 8/24/2003, what do I need to do? Am I set to just run 'patch' with 18 and 19? Somewhere in the monster thread I read that 19 has to be applied to source that had 18 applied. No one mentioned what you need to apply 18.
Thanks for any help with this. This is a great step forward for the engine, but I think it has become a little too fragmented for the average developer to use.

A more specific problem is that a working Terrain Manager doesn't exist. Is anyone still working on this and willing to share it with the public? This forum has been silent the last few months.

Www.gorpe.com doesn't have any useful information on it. It has Patch 18 which is worthless on its own. I did manage for find all the other files needed, but I still get a lot of errors, way too many for me to want to wade through. The Blog has good information as to the methodology Gorpe will follow, but that's all. Overall, the site is empty.A more specific problem is that a working Terrain Manager doesn't exist. If you have any more specific problem, you could allways ask me or David about this. We are using and developing this framework further, with focus on terrains and paging.
