All Materials from current project being loaded into scene in Torque Builder

Hey everyone! I'm not sure if there is a thread for this already somewhere, since the search on the forums isnt working for me, but here is my issue.
Whenever I load a project in Torque X 2D Builder, all of the materials used in the project load in. When I load a scene, all of the materials are still there. So when I save the scene, all of the materials get saved to the scene.
Is this a bug, or is it working like it should be? If it is a bug, is there a workaround for it so only the loaded scene's materials are used?
Thanks!

If you are concerned about all the materials saving to the scene then you can get Matt's material culler. There should be a thread/link around somewhere, but don't have it on me right now. The tool can be run to strip unused assets from the scene files.
