MS demo freezing

After installed the demo, its permanently freezing after to switch to 640*480 the screen.
System is a Dual 2000+ AMD Athlon, 1 gigs of RAM, W2K Serv.Pack3, GeFTi4200/128, detonator latest, dx9
Im not found any error log in the installed folder this is the reason of this topic to start.
