Team Based Materials

Say I have two materials for an object, a "friendly" material and an "enemy" material. Two the player, his team would all be in the "friendly" material, but the other team would be in the "enemy" material. From the opposing team's perspective, they would all look "friendly" to themselves, and the other team would look like enemys. If anyone is familiar with the game Americas Army, it would be like that.

Does anyone know if this would be possible in Torque Script or without major code changes, or could point me in the right direction?

I've never played America's Army before, but I just looked at some screenshots and it seems like a regular FPS where each team uses a different skin and it remains the same regardless of what team you're on. This is possible to do in T3D. However I don't think what you're explaining is possible, at least without source changes.

The big difference in Americas Army is as follows:
1). Your team all appear to you and each other as American Forces.
2). The opponents team appears to you and your team members as OpFor.

For the opponents, they appear to themselves as American Forces and you appear to them as OpFor.

This also applies to weapons ... you and your team appear with American Weapons and the opponents appear with OpFor weapons ... when they die, they drop OpFor weapons for you but American Weapons for their team.

Not sure if this makes sense ... :(

This has been on my backburner so I haven't been working on it too much...but I wonder if this ghosting resource may be a helpful starting point...
