Is it possible to add a video to a 3D surface? like a 3d model of a TV?

It's not a true 'video on a surface', but more like an animated .gif, which may work for you depending on how much detail you need. If you just want to display static for a broken television, it seems useful.

Hi Scott. What modeling software are you using? I did a quick Google search for "texture animation" for Studio Max and it lists about 7000 results.Here's one link.

Use an IFL (Image File List) for simple animation on a surface. No code changes needed.Here's a tut if you don't know how.

IFL's won't work in Torque3D -- post is in TGE section but user is Torque 3D binary licensee -- although an animated material through the use of image sequences could approximate the same thing.

on 1.0.1 IFLs' are still working.
