Torque X Builder 2D driver crash

I just recently uploaded TX 2D Builder on my desktop. Prior to this, I was using it on my laptop to work since I was always on the go. It worked without any issues on my laptop. Now that I am at home more, I decided to load it up on my desktop. Everyting went smoothly with the install, and since i've used Visual Studios 2008 on my deskstop before without issues, I assumed there would be no issues with the TX Builder 2D as well. So, i'll launch TX Builder 2D, open up the project that i've been working on with my laptop, and when I go to open up a scene with some animations in it, I get a driver crash. My screen usually stays stable for about 2 seconds to 1 minute. While it is stable, TX Builder 2D runs fine, meaning I can click buttons and drags animations on the screen without issues. However, the animations are very glitchy and seem like they skip some frames. Finally, when the crash does happen, TX Builder 2D goes black, my screen freezes for a few seconds then goes black as well, and once it comes back to my desktop, in the bottom right corner on my taskbar, there is a balloon with error message "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered".

PC specs:
Laptop- Intel Core2Duo T6400 @ 2.00GHz, 4 GB RAM, Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, and Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset onboard graphics

Desktop- AMD Phenom 8400 Triple-Core @ 2.10GHz, 4 GB RAM, Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit, 800 watt PSU, and NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT graphics

This is what i've tried so far:
I've re-installed the graphics card drivers. I've tried to use every single old graphics card driver. I've tried to use Microsoft graphics card drivers. I've updated my BIOS, CPU, motherboard, hard drive, monitor, sound card, and CD/DVD combo drive drivers. I've changed the Windows Timer Delay from never trying to recover from any graphics halts to waiting 30 seconds before attempting to recover. I've attempted to reformat and run Windows 7 and Windows Vista home premium, professional, and ultimate as 32 and 64 bit. I've under-clocked and over-clocked my CPU, RAM and GPU. I've ran HP diagnostics, PC Doctor diagnostics, and 3rd Party diagnostics on all hardware components for 72 straight hours with minimum-maximum loads on all pieces. I've attempted to use DDR2 and DDR3 RAM, from Crucial and PNY. Swithced out both fans that cool the tower and CPU. Tried two different PSU ranging from 500 watts to 800 watts.

I have played games such as World of Warcraft, Crysis, Modern Warfare, Mass Effect 2, Bad Company 2, and All Points Bulletin with nothing more than network lag. I have spent the past 5 days researching the crap out of this issue, and i've come up short. Is there anyone who has any suggestions or has experienced/heard of this before?

Thank you

P.S. I am sorry for the length of this, just wanted to make sure i'm thorough. And if this is in the wrong section or something, i'll be more than happy to move it.
