Hover Vehicle Movement

by iGamer · in General Discussion · 07/24/2003 (1:41 pm) · 9 replies

Hi guys
finally i got my hover vehicle to move and the player can mount on it too.
now it moves 'left', 'right', 'forward' and 'backeard' ...
BUT, i want to make it move straight 'UP' and 'DOWN'.

my experiments:
i'm playing around with HoverVehicle.h and .cc ... i created two variables for UP and DOWN movemnt "mUpThrust" and "mDownThrust" ... but im sure im reinventing the wheel

Is there any other way to make the hover vehicle go 'UP' and 'DOWN'(at the press of a buton)??
any help would be gr8

thanks in advance

First off this is the wrong forum, the correct forum should be for SDK owners . . .

but a quick look at your profile shows you are NOT an SDK Owner, so it makes one wonder how you are hacking at any .h or .cc files in the first place?

Ohh carefull Jarrod, I found a lamer doing the same thing and got flamed for it.

This guy used his friends SDK, got caught, and bought TGE to "clear up the confusion". Because "I'm asking these questions for my friend who owns it" is so confusing...Especially when the friend asks questions in posts of his own...

There are too many excuses lamers can use, I'd leave it to GG to police them.

WTF do I care if some moron flames me when I know I am right. Seems you were right also and at least got them to go legit.

I was a major pro-ponent of adding the Torque SDK Owner to the profile page, just because of all the people posting C++ related questions in the General Discussion forum. Actually I would have rather had it have a little icon or something on the post but that was too much of an invasion of someones privacy was the argument there.

Not only that this person has posted the same questions in at least 3 different forums at the same time.

Just in case he decides to pull and "edit" coverup here is his original post . . . which makes blantant references to source files that only an SDK owner should have.

So John, seem the only people flaming you in that thread were the lamers. Don't take it personally.

then why are you spam posting across inapporiate groups with a non-sdk owner id for?

Post in the appropriate groups once and there is no "confusion".

Why don't you just use your other account that does have the toque licence on? Do you like to make people confused?

Not alright

If you want to avoid being accused of "stealing" the sources without paying, then use your real account and post in the SDK forums.

Its extremely simple rules and should be easy to follow.

BTW - if you use your "non-owner" id here, how do you know that the answer to your questions is not in the SDK owner part of the forums? It just doesnt make sense not to use the ID that gives you most info

Cant see how long GarageGamers been sdk owner, or if the account was recently created.
