Games can't launch on new computer?

by PHG Creator · in Torque Game Engine Advanced · 07/04/2010 (10:25 pm) · 4 replies

I got a new computer and I moved my game and reinstalled tgea 1.8.1, but I found an issue. I can't launch the projects. My game and the game examples crash. it says something like "AudioX3D.dll is missing. Try reinstalling the program" but I can't reinstall my projects, and this happens with the game examples to. It doesn't do it on other Torque games though. Please help.

I'm not new to TorqueScript but im still learning. I used to mod some of my video games for PC that had Add-On systems and ran on TGE(A) and I was good at that, but those games where on older version. I own TGEA V1.8.1!

That's just a missing audio driver, no big deal. Google "AudioX3D.dll" where you'll find a free site that carries it. Download it and copy it to your Windows system32 folder (or Mac equvilent), then restart. TGEA should run then, unless you're missing another driver, in which case you rinse and repeat.

Sorry to bump this topic, but I'm having this issue again, and now its worse. My computer crashed, and I reinstalled my projects. Well, I got the same error, but the solution above doesn't work anymore! I have the excact same version of windows, but it tells me the DLL isn't compatible. I downloaded like 80 of them!

Nevermind, it works now. All the places said put it in System32, when it had to be in System
