Indoor Levels.

by Lysias Pierris · in General Discussion · 07/20/2003 (4:01 am) · 3 replies

Well I read a couple of posts concerning this matter but they were quite old so... I am creating a game that will have both outdoor but also indoor levels. In the indoor levels how hard is it to create levels like those seen in NOLF(No one Lives Forever) or like those seen in RtCW I know that lighting is a bitch but again is it that hard to programm some good lighting? If you have the time and will to answer please do :-)

Thanks.

Hi George !

I make a medival game !
My maps are both outside and indoor maps !
Making maps like RTCW its no problem with this engine i only use lightmaps from worldcraft .
I have been a mapper for a long time so maybe its easy for me !

So you really dont need to code anything only get used to worldcraft !

Thanks alot for the fast reply bill. Seems that Torque except from being a great engine comes with a great community support.

Well george im new to it but I was curious about that same thing and found that it not hard at all. I use quark myself to build indoor levels. Worldcraft is good to, but I found quark better for ME. You basicly build the basics of the level and dress it up with objects made in somthin like 3dsmax. At least thats what I do. Good luck
