Some questions

I just tested the test aplication.. lookin good , tought it wouldn't run on my voodoo2, but it actually does!

-I was wondering... how do i take a screenshot? there seems to be no key bind to it... and printscreen returns a black screen.
-a more important question: where do i place the heigtmap file when i want to create a terain? I made this heigtmap, but i cant seem to load it in the editor.... just doesn't appear. So i guess its just in the wrong folder.
Another question about the editor is, is it possible to start with an empty flat map? If not... could someone please make an empty flat map. This would be a much easyer start for making a new map then having to start with an existing map and changing it.

Hit Ctrl+P to take a screenshot in-game. A PNG image will be created in example/.

i don't know if the V12 mission editor is compatible with the TRIBES2 mission editor. anyway "ZEARS" have allready make a Flat Blank Mission to his mapping tutorial that you can grab here:
http://hosted.tribalwar.com/zear/mapedimgs/MissionBlank.zip

The home page is: http://hosted.tribalwar.com/zear/ cause you wanna grab the good map making tut!!!

I just remembered other way...

If the mission editor has the same functions as the TRIBES2 editor. (i don't have the engine) you can go to the TERRAFORMER delete all operations (except "general") and use a operation called "FILTER".
at the parameters there will be a square with a line starting from lef-botton to right-up.
there will be six or seven red dots on that line.
i don't know exactily what does it do but if you bring all the red dots to the botton of the square an hit APPLY
the result must be a flat terrain...

I hope it helps

Is the Read Only thing checked on the file you are trying to save to?

I know from a friend of mine, that he is also unable to save maps/missions.

The readonly thingie is already removed, but the tools seem to have some bigger bugs.

In the worldeditor you cannot somehow create a new map/mission.. import other stuff or export it.

He got only to get the existing maps/missions modified and safed(important: remove readonly attribute).

also there are several problems while compiling the source but this is another problem...i don't own the engine... still waiting for my damn CC... should be arrive soon :D

got it to work actually ... the map editor is indeed full of bugs. But some manual editing of the files did the job
