Praise

I just want to say thanks to the TGB team for this awesome engine! Developers may have legitimate concerns and bug reports, but the bottom line is there is so much given to us in TGB that we take for granted. I've been back in this forum since March and most of what I see here are "how to do this?" and "why doesn't this work?" Honestly, I contribute to those questions as well. And those questions are necessary but it seems pretty one sided, don't you think? All of the things that just work in TGB and saves me tons of coding because I don't have to think about it. I use Delphi 2007 professionally and I would probably be still working on a physics engine had I used that to make Fangorodrim. Instead, I'm considering higher level strategic elements to give my game more depth. Thank you GarageGames for making my life easier.

Well there is the dreadnought M. May running around in my space game. Pirates flee on sight and it pretty much instakills any evil arachnids roaming the starlanes. :P

@Melv - You changed my life when you created that fateful TGE branch that lead to TGB. I've been trying to write games as a hobby for most of my life and it wasn't until TGB clicked that I felt like I actually could get somewhere. In the past, I've helped a lot of musicians get what is out of their head and into a recorded form and that's what you've done for me.
So thanks!

I must admit that using TGB sort of makes me want to hump the metaphorical leg of GG as well!@Melv - You changed my life when you created that fateful TGE branch that lead to TGB. I agree a million times over. I never thought I would be doing anything like this until well, about a year ago. But when I read an article of what one could do with the iPhone and the potential payback, I thought it was worth while. Sure beat building websites.
I have always been creative and doing this continually brings me back to my youth in my friend's room playing Nintendo for countless hours. I think of what I was thinking when I was there at that time and why I liked certain games and why I didn't like others. With this I can make games that I like and in turn hope lots of other little kids ( and grown ) will like too.
Cah Ching! I love you Melv May!

You are so right, Patrick. The ability to quickly get out what you are thinking is so important, if just to get an idea across.Being able to use my TGE knowledge was a gigantic bonus, too.
