is garagegame's engine only First Person Shooter?

I have been at a stand still with my team searching around for an engine. I am wondering if this engine is just designed for First Person Shooting only? If not can someone point me in the right direction so I can read more about the top down aspects?

The V12 engine can be used to create games played from any perspective. There's no place to send you for detialed info yet though. This engine is so new that there's no real docs on it yet.

alright so it can be designed like a C&C or TA type game then too?..cool. we've been trying to get an engine so we can develop our game...thanks for the response.

when we work with it as a top down aspect I'll write up some documents and tips and such for fellow game designers, builders coders.

Source Code means you can do anything you want...only limited by your own abilities and motivation.

I'm not a heavy programmer with games, but my other partners are..and I am doing some research..

this works out perfect for us.
will probably order this baby up then.

You could just move the camera in 2 dimensions and it would be just like a C&C game, only it would be 3d content. The cool thing about that would be you could mount the camera in a unit (ala Dungeon Keeper/Homeworld) and see it from that unit's point of view.

that would be hard to do lots of scripting especially with transitions of day to night missions..or just night missions or day missions.

hmm a good challange :) I like it
