Hello everyone. Well let me start off by showing some art from the game...

So here's a basic summary of the game. You play as KAP( Kappa Anti-Virus Program) as you install into a computer filled with viruses (virals). Throughout the game you travel through levels that make up a computer, places like App Central and Documents ridding the computer of the viral infection.

Another aspect of the game, and the reason why we began calling it Downgrade is the unique health system. The game is in 32bit and as you go down in health so will the graphics of the game. That means depending on your health level the game will either be in 32bit, 16bit, 8bit, and 4bit. 4bit being the lowest your health can be before crashing.

The game plays like castleroid .. or metroidvania rather. Cavestory is a better example actually.

We have alot of design and alot of art and music but no programmer at all so we're looking for any programmers that might want to join the team. We're looking for people that are pretty capable and can pull this game together in terms of coding. One thing I'm looing into is maybe getting the Torque X engine and making it fit our needs, how does that sound?

Wow, Eric! I love the art style and feel that you have going for this game. Cave Story is definitely a good way to describe it, and I'm very excited to meet a fellow fan! Seeing that it will hold an interesting art style for health as well is quite intriguing. And since you have art, I'm on-board!

Full Sail University gave me tons of programming and game development experience. Most of my work has been in C++, OpenGL, and other middleware, but I would be glad to study the 2D-platformer TX engine if you are still interested in using it. Researching how to use it should be a cinch and, based on what I've read, I think it will help us a lot.

Please contact me at skondrk@fullsail.edu or alaclancegane@gmail.com if you still need someone to help. I'm still looking for a full-time gig, but this should be great practice and I'm excited to see where this project can go.

You can also find me at www.skondrk.wordpress.com if you would like to know more about me, or if you would like to see my resume. Thank you!
