editing bits throughout world space

I am wondering, I asked this before but was unable to make it work, however, I believe I was told that I can work in the editor like Illustrator, so if i want to manipulate something at worldSpace point 300 450 I can, just pan over and zoom in till my hearts content. All I can do in TGB, it seems, is only zoom into point 0 0 in world space. This is very inconvenient as my level can be quite large with a number of pieces so when I need to edit anything but dead center of the structure i have to grab everything and my computer digest this (grabbing all of the pieces) very slowly. As I say it is not very convenient. However I am hopeful I am wrong.

I can't tell, but are you just wanting to pan around in TGB? Hold down the right mouse button and drag.

yah I have no right button. I am on a mac.







Will investigate. may by a right buttoned mac mouse today then. that should work, would it?

I just set my secondary button in preferences and it works great.
