color issues

I posted earlier in the iPhone forum, but I may/should/probably would get an answer here too. What I am wondering is, I made a game layout in Illustrator that I am serious about producing, as in releasing in a month or so. As such the color is very important to me, but when I loaded into and ran it in TGB, the color was much brighter than when I wanted it.
So is color an issue at all for anyone in designing games? I have never previously noticed such a jump in color.
:?
PS. I know the color adjuster, that, I would like to not have to use.

ok, well i actually was saving for web as gifs. i changed it to save for web PNG-24 and it looks fine. I think maybe since i was exporting first as gifs, then just using Preview to save as PNG's something funny happened. But no worries. Thanks.
