TGE 1.5.2 INDIE license

I am a student at Devry taking onlne GSP course and I purchased my access code per the instructions for my class and went to download TGE and entered the code according to the instructions but I do not see the INDIE license for windows format in my account for download. All I see is the one for Linux and I am running Windows. All I have for Windows are the SDK installers and contructor availiable for download and the way this is set up is supposed to have been the indie license. Do I need to purchase the license along with what I purchased from the schools bookstore? Need to know because working on a lab and I am unable to start it along with some other students who are in the same position I am in. Thanks for any help and response's.

OK thats the one I have but when I click on the icon on my desktop all I get is some web links. Not quite sure where the actual start icon or file is to be honest.

What you'll want to do, is go to the directory where it was installed and start from there. Usually this is c:\torque\tge_1_5_2, I believe.
Inside that will be two directories of interest - example (which holds the example game), and VS2005, which holds the solution.
You'll want to get an editor for the system -- the best one (imo), is Torsion, and you can download a demo version here. There are a few others that people like also:

It's been a few years, but if I recall correctly, there isn't much of anything in 1.5.2 in your menus. What you'll want to do, is go to the directory where it was installed and start from there. Usually this is c:\torque\tge_1_5_2, I believe.

I have torsion from previous class so I am good there. Will look in the VS2005 and see what I find. Just feels like there is no engine there from the way it is set up. I was expecting a icon like the TGB I have where I click it and the builder opens. This is quite different.

Example, like stated above holds a couple of example games, and another folder of importance is called "engine". That's the game engine. The actual game cpp files are located inside "engine/game/".
The solution files for visual studio (free version available and works fine) are in a folder called "vs2005"
bin and mk are folders you most likely won't ever need to work inside.
Tools hold the different exporters for the most popular modeling apps.

Inside the sdk folder, you'll find several folders.Example, like stated above holds a couple of example games, and another folder of importance is called "engine". That's the game engine. The actual game cpp files are located inside "engine/game/".
