Tennis Critter and Windows Media Play don't get along
by Bryan Walters · in General Game Discussion · 06/07/2003 (2:27 pm) · 5 replies
As i have found out if I am listening to a cd via windows media player and launch Tennis Critters then both Windows Media Player and Tennis Critter will crash most of the time. I say most of the time because I have had luck with getting them to co-exist once. I'm not sure this can be fixed but the main reason I posted it here is a reference for others.

Yea, seems like this only happens with Windows Media Player as winamp works fine with it and neither programs crash.--Bryan

Have you tried ALL the other torque games? This might not be something specific to TC, in which case it might need to be addressed by the GG folks...
Are you running a visualization or something else that might have resource conflicts? Or maybe it's just something overall with DX/GL...

im pretty sure David is on the right track.
it is prolly related to the device context.
But I'm sure you'll find this is not in the hands of torque.
and instead it is a winmedia bug.
