WARNING: DO NOT UNINSTALL THE REACTION ENGINE SDK VERSION 1.0.0.0 OR ITS DEMO VERSION 1.0.0.0. Monster Studios has verified that a bug exists in the uninstall script that could potentially corrupt a computer's registry. The bug, which was submitted earlier this afternoon, has been identified and fixed. A patch for both the full version and the demo have been uploaded and are available for download.

"Apparently a string was not always being initialized correctly by the uninstall script. While unlikely this could potential corrupt the computer's registry," said Chris Cole of Monster Studios. "We have fixed the bug and tested the solution. Hopefully nobody else will encounter the problem."

Below are step-by-step instructions on how to install the newest version over version 1.0.0.0*.

Steps to Patch the Uninstallation Script for the Reaction Engine SDK Retail Version 1.0.0.0

If you have already purchased the Reaction Engine SDK go to your My Garage page on the GarageGames site and download the newest version of the SDK. This should be version 1.1.0.0 or greater.

Install this new version by double clicking on the RESDK_Installer1100.exe.

Follow the onscreen instructions. This should replace the erroneous uninstaller.

Steps to Patch the Uninstallation Script for the Reaction Engine SDK Demo Version 1.0.0.0

Download the Reaction Engine SDK Demo Version 1.1.0.0 (or greater).

Install this new version by double clicking on the RESDKDemo_Installer1100.exe.

Follow the onscreen instructions. This should replace the erroneous uninstaller.
