Those of you that have completed a game, have you used services such as:
Direct2Drive
Ebay
Facebook
Etc.
to sell a game!
how successful were you?
Are there any services that I left out? Not including ShareIt or Paypal?
I imagine that you use your own website for these services?

As for marketing a game, well that's a bit more complicated. Viral marketing (word of mouth over the internet - YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. tied in with a playable demo and more information on your own website) might work for you, or if you have a larger budget, you could place ads in strategic places.
Another option is to get your work out there and hope a publisher likes it enough to pick it up and market it for you. These are just some ideas and depending on your needs and expectations, some work better than others.
