Seeking TGE expert(s) that can create easy to follow tutorials that
demonstrate the following concepts and explain how the internals of
the TGE work.
* Explain how to export static mesh 3D models from Maya and import
them into the TGE
* Demonstrate how to use Constructor in a development pipeline
* How to organize geometry in the scenegraph
* Explain how to setup skeletons in Maya so that that animated
characters can be imported into TGE
* Explain how to blend animations in TGE, ie character idle->walk->jump->run
* Demonstrate the importance of the Torque Show Tool
* Show how to organize files on the hard drive for a project (models,
audio, textures, scripts)
* Show how to do movie/video playback
* Show how to create game UI (menus & HUD)
* Explain how user input (keyboard, mouse, joystick) is handled in the TGE
* Demonstrate how to add sound effects and background music to events
* TGE debugging tools
* Describe how to perform physics based collisions & responses
* Demonstrate how to collide players with NPC
* Demonstrate how to create weapons that shoot fast projectiles (bullets/lasers)
* Demonstrate how to create weapons that shoot slow projectiles (grenades/rocks)
* Explain important factors to consider when creating multiplayer network game
* Demonstrate how to create multiplayer CTF arena-type game, player limitations?
* Torsion demo
* Explain how to package a completed game for release
We would ideally love to meet up with someone in person, so if you are in Southern Ontario, Canada, or know someone who is who can help, please send me an email!
Also, if you know of any schools that offer training specifically in TGE or Torque 3D, please let me know!
Thanks,
- Ivan
