Docs?

Can anyone recommend some good documents, preferred documents, popular documents, for the Torque Engine? I just got my download last night (gotta set it up when I get home), and I'm curious if any developers could say, "Oh, yeah, read Document X before you start" or "The best thing to do is..." I've heard about Torque for a while, coming from the Adellion forums, but I've not gotten into the technical aspects. If anyone has a suggestion, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Reading through the docs on the TGE project site at www.garagegames.com/docs/torque.sdk/engine/ is a really good start; they're a bit dense, but they'll help you fit the pieces together much faster. It's easy to get a bit overwhelmed :)

Ben: Thanks. I'll look at it! That's exactly the kind of reply I wanted.

Larry: I'm not with Adellion; I just post on their boards (as a gamer), read they used Torque, and wanted to check the engine out (as a freelance hacker). Mind if I ask what Pariah Games is?

Did you read the getting started email that you received when you purchased the Torque?

Andrew re: Pariah Games

HonourBound Ltd. is based in England and is the owner and creator of Adellion. Pariah Games is a small development group based in the US which has a contract to help develop the MMORPG engine and tools by modifying a version of the torque engine.

Several of our people frequent the boards here picking up tidbits, scuttlebutt, code fragments, and non-sequitors ...
