I'm so confused. So what is the deal with Qix(Dave), why do we not like him? He is Smokejumper on the planetside team now I think. Also why is Jeff not in the Tribes 2 credits?

And after having played Planetside recently, and talking to several longtime memebers of the tribes community who I met in the game, and who I still had contact with, we all had the same opinion in that the game design was almost taken exactly from the design of Tribes and Tribes2.
But to get back to the origional question.
Qix was the producer of Tribes 2, Tribes 2 shipped with many major problems to the extent that Sierra disbanded the development house, hence Qix is evil.
As for why JeffT wasn't in the credits for T2. He didn't work on T2.

Dave Georgeson, aka Qix, was the producer of Tribes 2. As such any problems with that title fall onto his shoulders. But wasnt Jeff part of the Tribes team? I mean part of Dynamix as well?

Yes, Jeff was one of the founders of Dynamix but the reason he is not in the credits is because he had no part in Tribes 2. During this time Jeff was off starting GarageGames.com and Monster Studios and no longer working at Dynamix.
