Go up to my account and my products and download the newer version. If you are using the CC version DL the newer one from the XNA site.

Well if you are an XNA creators club version you should see Torque X 3.0 CC if you paid for a full version of Torque you will see something else, if you have the old CC version and no longer belong to XNA Creators Club then I do not know. How did you obtain Torque X?

When I look at your profile it only shows you as a licensee for TGB, nothing for TX.

I've had that problem in the past Andrew. It turned out that I downloaded the wrong installer.

If you look over your accounts page you will probably notice that you have multiple installers for TXB.

If you still have trouble post again and I will try to find more specifics. Plus, I think Henry also knows how to fix your problem.

Hmmm... Henry, i no longer have an XNA creators club membership - and i obtained Torque X when i purchased the Torque Game Builder.

When i go to my products page and goto Torque X Builder - it only shows me these options for downloading:

Torque X Builder
Torque X Builder - Demo

I used to have no problem installing TXB, but now it requires i have Visual Studio Express 2005, and i cant seem to find a download for that anywhere on the net, only 2008 :( - this is really getting frustrating

Yea I thought I needed 2005 as well... I got the same error. But then I realized I was just using the wrong installer. The correct installer works with VS 08

Let me double check which installers I have.

Ok so I have two installers in my account:

Torque X 2D
Torque X Builder

The Torque X Builder was the one that was telling me I needed VS 2005. I was freaking out because I too could not find it but then I realized if I just installed Torque X 2D, the Torque X Builder would install itself.

So if I remember correctly, don't use the Torque X Builder installer.

Now if you don't have the Torque X 2D installer then try downloading the demo: www.garagegames.com/products/torquex-2d

Or if you have already purchased it then talk to customer service about the installer not showing up on your products page.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info Randy - i dont have the TX 2d installer tho?

Also thanks Henry, those links look very helpful and im downloadin them now. hopefully it works - though it'd be a shame to *have* to use old software just to use my TorqueX :\ -- oh well for now i guess...just want it to work
