I had some friends over, and set up there own account so they could compete on there own record, but even though hey have there own password, it is tied to this computer.. for example, I had worked up to challenge #21, when he first tried, the challanges were unlocked all the way up to #21.
I also went to my wifes computer, and tried to access my account, but didn't have any thing done... so it really doesn't matter, passwords aren't needed... they are just nonsense.

    Hi Brian -

Is you select the Online Ranking button when setting your player name, you will get two benefits. First, you will gain access to the online community high scores in Solo Mode and you will also be ranked against all other Orbz players when competing Online. Second, you secure a unique player name in the online community of Orbz.

The Solo Mode challenge progress is not tied to your online user account. This is because the challenges can be played offline and therefore does not tie back into the Online Ranking system.

Hope this helps to clear up any confusion.

although the status of which orbz you have earned in solo play does tie back to online play.

and it is nice to be able to challange people in my house, my son, my wife, etc... and by not enabling accounts in solo mode, it prevents that...
