How to get a screenshot pulled by morning

What the hell happened to the screenshot of our game Quest For Saddam?!! Why was it pulled off?
Am I not entitled to hear feedback from my fellow game developers? Does garage games not have the balls to let people post their opinions freely?
So I guess no one will see the screenshots of Hunt For Jesus either. :(

So does SARS affect the price of tea in china?

@Robert: I believe so, last I heard the chinese are paying top dollar (or yen or whatever) for tea with SARS in it... I think its like a fad over there or something

James, what if instead of bribing the politicians, we just bought hit men to have them killed? I mean both ways its pretty illegal, so thats not really a concern. If we bribe a politician to stop attacking games, he might or might not actualy do it, or do it for the rest of his career. We would also be giving a guy a lot of money because he had been doing something that hurts us... thats why I say it makes a lot more sense emotionaly and economicaly to just have them murdered by profesional killers! What do you guys think?@Robert: I believe so, last I heard the chinese are paying top dollar (or yen or whatever) for tea with SARS in it... I think its like a fad over there or something

Actually, probably a much more effective way would be to make a big scene and get the media involved, and hopefully educate them to not immediately point the finger at DOOM every time someone gets shot. A long shot, I know.

I think you've got a ways to go before you're Jonathan Swift, but I guess you've got to start somewhere. ;-) Bribery might be illegal, but it does seem to be the standard method of doing things. I mean, there are sites dedicated to tracking such activities.Actually, probably a much more effective way would be to make a big scene and get the media involved, and hopefully educate them to not immediately point the finger at DOOM every time someone gets shot. I think it's amazing that bribing politicians is perfectly legal in the US, and that it doesn't seem to bother anyone. Simply fucking amazing.

hehe, but ya. It really is fucking amazing

silly Yacine, they arnt BRIBING politicians, they are lobbying them, those are two completely different words, I mean they are pronounced differently and have different letters and everything, how could you cofuse them? ;)hehe, but ya. It really is fucking amazing

I wasn't talking about lobbying (that's entirely another beast), I'm talking about "donations". But I do pick up on your humor, don't worry.

well... its a fine line, lobbying can be considered "donations", just restricted donations, but either way you look at it, if its money in their pocket or money towards their campagn to get re-elected, its still offering them money for political support. As far as I'm conserened (and its my personal opinion), its still bribery.

(The idaho election comission definition just happened to be the first one my search popped up)
Writing a letter to your congressman is 'lobbying.' Nothing about the term implies or requires that money change hands.

well Mark I wasnt refering to that type of lobying, I was referring to what happens when a representative of a large organization (a lobbyist) for say a wildlife preservation group meets with a politician, expains what they want him to support and not support, and then promptly hands him a stack of money (campaign contributions) as a bribe. Now there are restrictions, there is a limit to how much a single organization can "donate" to a politician per election, and the politician is obligated to actualy use the money on his campaign, but it boils down to bribery (or at least thats what it seems like)... this is at least how they explained it in AP US government class last year, and I owned the AP test, so I'm assuming thats right.

Eric - dont forget all the free trips and conferences and PAID appearances that most lobby organizations make sure that their targeted politician attends. This is just one of the things that got Newt in trouble. Lobbists paying for him to speak at their engagements.

That's all true, Eric. I was just pointing out that the word you were using doesn't match what you were describing. It's important to call things by their right names to minimize confusion.

btw, anyone have any ideas about how to possibly protect the industry from washington censorship? I know some thoughs about that were mentioned above, it might be a good idea to keep talk like that going, I'm not opposed to trying things... I just dont know what

well thats very true Mark, sorry for being confusing, I was tought that the word lobbying referred to what I was describing above (I forgot it also meant the definition you put up), sorry for not being clear, I can see how it can cause some confusion... but anyway, you guys got what I was saying so its okbtw, anyone have any ideas about how to possibly protect the industry from washington censorship?
