Noob Rain Tutorial

1. Simply, the first ( intro - Rain ) tutorial is incorrect. My company has plans on purchasing a development engine and it is difficult to convince the bean counters to throw money at something that has errors from the very beginning. Errors are expected in all code. But it would seem the intro tutorials should get a little extra spit and polish.
2. Searching the forums produces tons of hits. None of which I could find that clearly defined the proper solution.
3. Would someone please direct me to a thread that has simply instructions that even a CEO can understand.

That's a tad embarrasing! Anyway, you might have better luck with one of the tutorials written quite recently.

I think the Match 3 and Stacker Clone were both made with the latest version of TGB. The Stacker clone is very detailed, down to the exact pictures of popups you'll see while trying to make a game.

I think both have had quite a bit of users trying them and have had some refinements. In addition, both of the creators of those tutorials are active on the forums.

Best of luck!

@William, thanks for recommending the tutorial.

I've received some really great additional feedback on how I can improve the tutorial and I WILL be implementing it but I've been trying to gauge how long it will be until T2D comes out, so I can update it for that.

Maybe in the next couple weeks I can make the additions to it.

You can contact me directly via Google Talk or email using my email address here.

I also pay my respects. I retired several years ago and have worked on a game to its final state over the past six years. Your product has brought me thousand of hours of enjoyment and occupation. Programming is a journey of joys and sorrows. Thank you!
