However, if you can't get the hang of CVS, we now have a .zip download option as well.
The size of the download is less than 20 Meg.

Using CVS is sometimes confusing for beginners, but we have changed the documentation in the last couple of days. If you follow the instructions, you should have no problem. Using CVS is a very good thing for getting future updates to the engine, and it is something you should do to further you development career. However, if you can't get the hang of CVS, we now have a .zip download option as well.

20 MB?! Ok, with this size I will consider purchasing it. I'm on dialup and was afraid it would be >100mb. This size I wouldn't have purchased. Let me see whta my household says.Michael

When I first downloaded Torque I had absolutely no experience using CVS. I download WinCVS and then just followed these instructions. It was very easy and by following the instruction I didn't really need to learn all th e ins and outs of CVS to get Torque onto my machine and start working. I'm on a dialup line too.

Ron: Torque's source is a little over 4MB zipped up at normal compression and the fps mod zipped up with game exe and dlls is only around 7MB. So about 12MB in my case. I don't use the racing mod and some other things that the CVS has, so mine isn't that big.:)

it is only really big if you compress it after doing a compile, especially a debug compile

I'll have to logout and try it.
Okay, I'm back. Yep, looks like only a downloadable listed. I had paid extra (to cover postage/handling) and got a CD mailed to me. Maybe that shows up after you buy it - can someone confirm?
If not, ping one of the GG folks to see if they still offer the CD.
