Bones/Joints Outside of Model Mesh

by Nate "Nateholio" Watson · in General Discussion · 04/05/2003 (4:13 pm) · 2 replies

If I need to bring a joint outside of a model's mesh, will it cause Torque to crash, or can bones/joints be placed anywhere?

I don't think it would crash, but the only way to be sure is to find out! :)

(Don't forget to tell us what happens when you try it ;)

Nate! You forgot us! Shame on you! ;)
There are only a few bone threads here. Too Sad!
I do have a problem with Bones in a Static Shape, the Show Tool shows only the Bone which animate my tree. Not the whole Tree.
In the Engine I see my tree but without animation.
There is the Thread, where you can animate Static Shapes:

But he used no bones.

Why nobody use bones in there games? Do you have only Human Enemies , where you can use The Character studio tools? What is with nothumanlike Monsters? What do yu use there?
