TGB/T2D?

Hi. I'm looking to purchase a 2D engine, so of course, I'm considering TGB. I'm a little unsure of what Torque 2D is though.
Is Torque 2D just TGB rebranded? Or is it a whole new upgrade to TGB? If I buy TGB today, will I have to pay more for T2D in a few months time?
Thanks, probably an extremely simple question, I'm just unclear.

TGEA 1.8 : Torque 3D :: TGB 1.7.4 : Torque 2D
Both the TGEA and TGB "brands" will be entirely phased out by 2010. We *may* still sell prior versions of the engines (like TGB 1.7.4) after that time, but we won't be trying to. Our 2010 offering will be Torque 3D and Torque 2D. Both are major updates to their predecessors and also rebranded.

As for the price, nothing has been announced yet. However, T3D was not a free update for TGE/TGEA users, so I can only assume that TGB users will have to pay for the update.
I have understood that T2D will be a really major update.
More than that, I do not know.
I would however be really interested to know what licence and price changes for T2D can be roughly expected.
