3DS Export problems

Good Day, Garage Folks,
I'm a super newbie.. I've managed to import a 3DS model into the game, a hovering kind of scifi ship. Now I'm trying to work out how to implement a collision mesh to it. I've read the official development guide on exporting, but I got stuck at the part where I had to load an "adjustLOD" macro into 3DSMAX. I'm using version 4.0, and I can't seem to figure out how to load the macro.
Where does the macro appear after you install it? I've tried "running" the macro file as a script in MAX but it doesn't seem to work. :(
