I figure this is probably the best forum to post this, just got this email from Discreet.
I thought this might be of interest of anyone using Max in their art pipeline. I have not looked
does the Torque DTS exporter use this interface?

Dear sparks user,

A new download has been posted to the sparks developer website:

3ds max Game Export Interface 1.01b

This is the 3ds max Game Export Interface, a set of high-level C++ interfaces for exporting data from 3ds max. Contents include the necessary dll and lib files as well as comprehensive documentation.

**Version 1.01b provides both the r4 and r5 binaries as well as various enhancements and fixes as documented in the enclosed readme. Also, the exporter has been slightly enhanced; you can now save out individual mesh xml files for each node, thus keeping file sizes down to loadable levels in IE.

Compiled sample plugins are included, and the source for these is available within the sparks public downloads area under the 'Game Export Interface samples/utilities header'.

This archive will be updated on a regular basis, so we highly recommend that you edit your user account to subscribe to 'news' and 'downloads', if you have not already done so. Furthermore, we'll be creating a Game Export Interface conference in the public 3ds max SDK webboard for any related questions/comments.
